First time here? Here’s what to expect!

The wonderful group of believers who worship here at Yuma First Church of the

Nazarene are warm and welcoming. A smiling face will be here to greet you when you first arrive.

What should I wear?

You’ll find that we’re a fairly casual group of people. Sure, there are a few who come in their “Sunday best,” but you’re just as likely to find someone more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. Don’t worry too much about what to wear – just come and be blessed by God.

What is worship like?

Our Sunday service is at 10:00 am. The music is a mix of hymns and choruses, and some contemporary songs, lyrics are generally projected onto a screen – so your hands will be free for worship.

During our worship service, childcare in our nursery is available for children up to the age of 4. For ages 4-12, we have Children’s Church on most Sundays. Children are always welcome in the regular church worship service, if you prefer to keep your family with you – we even have some activities for them do during service.

We serve Communion every first sunday of the month. As Nazarenes, we practice “open Communion” – that means that guests are welcome to participate in Communion, even if they are not part of our church or our denomination.

We have Sunday School for adults and children on Sunday mornings at 11:30 am after the service. We also have several groups that meet throughout the week, so check our Service Times and Calendar for events.
